To load in surface observation data:

• Open the Surface Point Data Chooser by either:
• Select the Point tab in the Data Chooser.
• Or, choose the Data→Choose Data→Surface Observations menu item from the main menu bar.
• Click on the Connect button.
• Make sure the Data Type is Surface (METAR) Data.
• Choose the latest time (the last in the list) in the Available Times list.
• Click the Add Source button.
