MCPATH Requirements

MCPATH must contain the following directories:

• ~mcidas/data
• ~mcidas/help
• a directory where you have write permissions, for example, $HOME/mcidas/data

The first two directories let you access the required data and help files that are installed with each version of McIDAS-X. The third requirement lets you write or modify files with McIDAS-X commands like IMGCOPY, EU, and FRMSAVE.
